My name is Claire Frida Wilder, and I founded The Orange Book Artist in 2023 although I’ve been an artist all my life.
Based in St Albans, I’m a local artist with a passion for capturing the beauty of the world through both lens and brush. I am fascinated by landscapes + portraits in equal measure and can’t decide between the two! Why The Orange Book Artist? I love orange, honestly that’s it. The name sounded cool and do you know how hard it is to find an instagram name which is available?
Available: I offer landscape prints in all sizes – all the work you see here can be done any size so just shout for a print in your preferred size.
Digital Art Classes: I also offer 1:1 digital art classes £40 per person and you can join in the Digital Sketch Book Club – small groups up to 5 people £20 per person. See dates in my Digital Art Classes.
Speed Portraits: After joining Drawing is Free, I’ve been exploring fast 2–5 minute portrait sketches each Monday, set to some of the best tunes imaginable Hence offering speed portraits which capture the essence of you in a fun, spirited way. I can be hired for speed portraits for your party | special occasion | corporate event and weddings.
Landscapes: are like escaping to heaven for me. I adore them, and find them soothing and often draw from memory and a feeling of the place I visited rather than directly from the many photos I do take ( I am a photographer @artbyclairephotography)
